The company Bareos GmbH & Co. KG was founded to provide the conditions for a secured further development of the software Bareos (which shares the same name as the company) as an open source product and to provide the know-how to you for operating your backup software smoothly. In additon to the product development, the services offered by the company are training and a comprehensive subscription and support model. Sales of subscriptions as well as professional services like onsite integration are also performed by Bareos GmbH & Co. KG in collaboration with certified partners. Bareos was created by Bacula community veteran Marco van Wieringen and Bacula book author Philipp Storz together with other enthusiastic developers who have many years of experience in the open source area.
